In our guest's words
We organized an Urbanism Trivia Night with around 30 attendees and it went incredibly well. The two people working there that night (Gaby and Caesar) were incredibly accommodating and provided great service.
Even when we made additional requests (requesting a microphone, and using the backroom display hub to connect to both TVs for our Trivia quiz when we realized our HDMI cable was too short to plug directly) they were met swiftly.
I strongly recommend Firkin for hosting social events. The venue itself has a great ambiance and plenty of space.
About this event
An Urbanism Trivia Night run by a community group for around 30 attendees, needing a microphone and both TV screens driven from the backroom display hub so the quiz could be seen across the room.
Where to book an event like this today
This event was hosted at Firkin on Bay Street, which has since closed permanently after the building it occupied was redeveloped. The same team now runs three pubs across the Greater Toronto Area, and helping a community group put on a trivia night is very much still something we do.
A downtown crowd of roughly 30 fits neatly into The FlatIron and Firkin at 49 Wellington Street East, set inside the historic Gooderham Building and able to handle up to 91 in total, which leaves room for the group to grow.
Bigger turnouts are better served by The Goose and Firkin, 1875 Leslie Street in North York, the largest of the three at 273 full capacity, or by The Drake and Firkin, 6982 Financial Drive in Mississauga, which takes 210 and has free parking on site.
Planning the next quiz for your community? Group bookings and private events at all three locations are arranged through OurPubEvents.com.
