In our guest's words

Booked a massive section for our local recreational sports league and supporters to watch the big game.

The layout provided perfect vantage points for the TV screens and allowed our group to celebrate and cheer together comfortably. Outstanding service and speed from the bartending team.

About this event

A game-day booking for a local recreational sports league and its supporters, taking over a massive section with clear sightlines to the screens. The review describes the group as large but does not give a headcount.

Where to book an event like this today

This event was hosted at Firkin on Bay Street, which has since closed permanently after the building it occupied was redeveloped. The same team now runs three pubs across the Greater Toronto Area, and handing a whole section of the pub over to a sports crowd on game day is very much still something we do.

League-sized crowds are best served by The Goose and Firkin at 1875 Leslie Street, North York: the biggest of the three pubs, 273 at full capacity, with 107 seats out on the patio. Out in the west end, The Drake and Firkin at 6982 Financial Drive, Mississauga takes 210, adds 87 patio seats, and has free parking on site so nobody circles the block before kick-off.

A smaller supporter turnout works well at The FlatIron and Firkin, 49 Wellington Street East in the historic Gooderham Building, which handles up to 91, or at The Goose and Firkin, 1875 Leslie Street in North York, where a standing crowd can run to 176 indoors.

Rallying the league for the next big game? Group bookings and private events at all three locations are arranged through OurPubEvents.com.
